THE CHARACTER

Seventeen centimetres
of paper that moves

No clothes here: Mr. Lazy wears only his own yellow-green skin, covered in raised pale dots. Round golden eyes sit high on his head, and both clawed hands are up. He is an easy one to cut out.

Mr. Lazy belongs to the CUTE CREATURES cast - one style, one scale. They stand next to each other on a shelf as if they had always known each other.

FROM FILE TO DOLL

Four steps, about
thirty minutes

  1. Print at 100%Any home printer. 160-200 gsm paper holds a joint best. Never use "fit to page" - it changes the height.
  2. Cut along the edge of each partNail scissors are enough. No knife, no cutting mat, no special table.
  3. Pierce the marked holesA needle, an awl, or the tip of a compass. Every hole is marked where the joint belongs.
  4. Join with a bradDo not overtighten - the joint needs to move. No brads at home? A thread with a loose knot works the same way.
