Movement is the whole point
If it does not move, it is only a picture. Every hole sits exactly where a joint needs one, so the arms fold at the elbow and there is still room for a curtsy.
Whatever you have at home
A thread instead of a brad. A needle pushed into an eraser instead of an awl. Card from a cereal box instead of proper stock. The tool list is a set of suggestions, never a shopping trip.
Cut before it goes on sale
Every sheet is printed, cut and put together here first - usually badly the first time, which is exactly how we learn where the instructions need to be kinder.
Nothing ever disappears
What you buy stays in your account, with no download limit and no expiry date. Printers give up and laptops give up. The file waits for you.
We invent them.
All of them.
It began at a kitchen table in 2024, with one moon-faced doll cut out to find out whether a paper joint could survive a real pair of hands. It could. The shop now holds 182 characters, and the same small team still invents every one of them, cuts every sheet to test it, and answers the emails.
There is no factory here. There is a table, a scalpel, a cat who is not allowed near the paper, and a printer that has been replaced more times than we care to admit.

The first thirty-five
The shop opened with thirty-five characters and six small worlds - moons and zodiac signs, spring flowers, a little steampunk, and some creatures we simply wanted to see on paper.

Sixteen vegetables
Sweet Roots arrived all at once: a tomato in a waistcoat, a radish in a bonnet. It turned out that the sillier the character, the more carefully people cut it out.

Alice, and the largest world yet
Twenty-two characters from Whimsyland, because one figure is a curiosity and a whole tea party is an afternoon.

A hundred and eighty-two
The last of that wave, and sixteen worlds by then. All of them made to the same 17 cm, so that any two of them can share a shelf.
- 2025
A new name over the door
No new characters that year. The shop was rebranded instead - a new name, a new mark, a new way of speaking - so that every character we already had would finally have a home that looked like it.
- 2026
A new wave: we went digital
Movable paper dolls were a vintage toy long before us. Now they are having a new wave, and nearly every home has a printer. So we decided to go fully digital: you download the files and print your doll at home the same evening.
The technical part
The shop is entirely digital: you buy files - two print-ready PDFs and a transparent PNG - and nothing is ever posted to you.
US Letter always comes first, A4 always comes with it. One purchase, both formats.
Because the goods are digital, the right of withdrawal ends when the download starts - and we say so before you buy, not after.
